How to Ask Siri About iPhone Battery Life

Tweaks to Siri have been cropping up regularly thanks to the untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak. AssistantExtensions in the Cydia app store is available for free, and makes it possible to add all kinds of useful conversations to Siri's repertoire. We've seen add ons to ask SIri questions about jailbreaking and have her announce the latest sports scores and schedules.

BatteryLevelAE Siri battery extensions

Now thanks to BatteryLevelAE, iPhone owners can ask Siri battery-related questions such as "How much talk time do I have?" Siri will respond with a rough estimate of how much juice is left on the battery for both 3G and 2G network connections.

The BatteryLevelAE add on is available from Cydia for $1.00. To find BatteryLevelAE use the search function in Cydia or navigate to Sections -> Addons (Siri) -> BatteryLevelAE and confirm the installation once queued. Payment can be made via PayPal or Amazon Payments using the Cydia Store purchase system. Once installed the add on is completely integrated into Siri and has no settings to change.

If you don't already have AssistantExtensions, this required package will be installed along with the BatteryLevelAE add on. Before Siri will answer the new questions, AssistantExtensions must be enabled under the Settings menu. Once the add on is installed, you can get a list of battery-related commands by asking Siri for "Battery help menu" and she will explain the options. Of course, in order to install and use BatteryLevelAE you must have a jailbroken iPhone 4S.
