Get iOS Music Controls and More in the Volume HUD

The volume heads up display (HUD) in iOS 7.x only does one thing, it displays the current volume. Volume+ joins the list of jailbreak tweaks seeking to add more functionality to this small part of iOS. Once installed, Volume+ has no settings or options to configure.

So what does Volume+ bring to the HUD? Simply tap the volume up or down button and media controls, sliders for volume and track position, and current track playing information such as the title and artist will appear. But this is not the end of what Volume+ brings to the table.

A grabber at the bottom of the volume HUD reveals album art, as well as shortcuts to compose a new text message or snap a photo. Tapping the volume up or down button, then navigating to these shortcuts is not the most convenient process. However, the music controls and info can be handy when changing the volume.

Note: The developer recommends that users with biteSMS or other HUD tweaks installed remove them before installing Volume+. Once the Volume+ package has been installed, then these other tweaks can be reinstalled.

Volume+ is available on Cydia on the BigBoss repo for $0.99. Jailbreaking iOS 7.1.x is now possible with Pangu. Check here for instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 7.0.x with evasi0n 7. You can also find out how to purchase and install Cydia tweaks with this guide.
