Reddit continues to grow and as anyone with an account knows, keeping track of everything can be a daunting task. Several Reddit apps for iOS can help, but the jailbreak tweak Orangered brings everything to a new level. Orangered integrates Reddit push notifications across iOS, seamlessly and securely connecting the device to Reddit.
Once installed, Orangered can be configured for recurring inbox checks or associated with an Activator gesture. Messages that are sent as a notification can be marked read automatically, and the refresh interval can be changed. Other settings and customizations are included, as well as a toggle to disable the tweak entirely.
Several Reddit apps are supported by Orangered, including Alien Blue, Alien Blue HD, narwhal, Cake, Reddme, Aliens, amrc, Redditor, BaconReader, Reddito, Karma, Redd, Upvote, Flippit, MyReddit, Mars, OJ Free, OJ, Karma Train, and iAlien. Orangered will default to Safari if none of these apps are installed. Developer Julian Weiss will even add functionality for more Reddit apps by request.
