iOS App of the Week: He-Man Tappers of Grayskull

He Man Tappers of Grayskull

Tappers is a weird genre. A genre that can arguably be used to discredit mobile games, but they can also be very addictive for obsessive gamers who are looking for something simple to play on their iPhone and iPad. He-Man Tappers of Grayskull turns it up a notch by offering a trip down memory lane. The game features plenty of characters from the He-Man universe, including Prince Adam's twin sister, She-Ra. The game also includes villains from both Eternia and Etheria, including favorites such as Skeletor and Trap Jaw.

Tappers of Grayskull is played like all other tappers. You play as He-Man and tap to do battle with random villains and collect coins. The coins can then be used to upgrade your skills, unlock new characters and earn special abilities. Special abilities include calling Battle Cat to help you, or opening Orko's bank. You can also collect 37 artifacts from Eternia to help you in battle.

The art in the game is great. All the characters look awesome, and the game features 12 locations from all over Eternia. It is also fun to see both well- and lesser-known characters, such as Snout Spout, Evil-Lyn and Gwildor from the Masters of the Universe film. Tappers of Grayskull includes 20 He-Man allies, boss battles and additional characters from the She-Ra universe.

He-Man Tappers of Grayskull is available for free on the Apple App Store. It includes IAPs and it supports all devices running iOS 7.0 or later. The game is a lot of fun if you enjoy mindlessly tapping away to unlock characters from your childhood.
