App of the Week

iOS App of the Week: The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Shockingly, even with its hundreds of product tie-ins Disney did not release an official Force Awakens app, but they did release the entire soundtrack to iTunes. Star Wars fans can listen to all 23 songs from the new movie while they are driving to the theater to watch Luke, Leia and Han reunite for maybe the very last time. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is available on iTunes for $11.99.

iOS App of the Week: Apple's Best of 2015

Apple's Best of 2015

Instead of our normal individual App of the Week, we're going to take a look at Apple's Best of 2015 list. Every year Apple picks its favorite iPhone and iPad apps and games released to the App Store. This year Apple selected Twitter's video streaming app Periscope as the App of the Year and Square Enix's Lara Croft GO was picked as the Game of the Year. iPhoneFAQ also selected Lara Croft GO as one of our Apps of the Week in September. You can read our review here.

iOS App of the Week: Army Antz

Army Antz

Army Antz is a new action strategy game inspired by the 90's classic General Chaos by Electronic Arts. For those too young to remember, General Chaos is a strategy game where players battle with different teams to capture their enemy's capital city. The game was originally released for SEGA Genesis in 1994. Army Antz follows the same game mechanics with teams of ants battling each other to dominate the park battlefield.

iOS App of the Week: Fallout Pip-Boy

Fallout Pip-Boy

Saying video game fans are excited for the release of Fallout 4 next week is an understatement. The collectible Pip-Boy edition has been sold out for months, and the free-to-play building game Fallout Shelter has been a hit on the App Store since its release in June. Taking advantage of the excitement, Bethesda has released the official Fallout Pip-Boy app a few days ahead of the console and PC release on November 10.
