As expected, Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ has landed on the Apple App Store. Square Enix announced earlier this month that Unchained χ would be coming to North America before the PlayStation 4 release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The game takes place during the “beginning” of the Kingdom Hearts story in the world of fairy tales discussed throughout the series. The game is also linked to all three titles within Kingdom Hearts 2.8, according to the Q&A Square Enix posted to their blog.
In Unchained χ, players take on the role of a legendary keyblade wielder to battle the Heartless and gather a mysterious form of light called "LUX." The game features the ability to customize your character with outfits from the expanded Disney universe, Final Fantasy and the Kingdom Hearts series. It also includes a swipe control battle system, hundreds of character medals to collect and evolve and the ability team up with friends for boss battles.
Kingdom Hearts HD Final Chapter Prologue is listed as shipping on December, 31 2016 on amazon.com and the Square Enix store. December 31st is normally a place holder for titles without an official release date. The game is a remastered version of Kingdom Hearts 3D for the PS4.
Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is available now on the Apple App Store for free. It supports all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
