Why won't my HomePod work?

To set up your HomePod you need an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad with iOS 11.2.5 or later. Here are some troubleshooting tips for the Apple HomePod.

If you're having trouble syncing your iOS device to your HomePod make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device by swiping up from the bottom of your Home Screen. The Bluetooth icon should be blue not gray.

Make sure your HomePod is connected to the same WiFi network as your iOS device.

When you set up your HomePod for the first time the light on top will pulse white. Hold your unlocked iOS device close to the HomePod until the setup screen appears. If the setup screen does not appear, open the Home app, then tap the + button, then tap Add Accessory. Finally tap “Don’t Have a Code or Can’t Scan?," then tap HomePod in the Nearby Accessories list. You can download the Home app from the Apple App Store.

You can follow these steps if you have a blank white screen during set up.
