Recent updates in March 2023 have also seen a $20 increase for older models, setting the replacement costs at $89 for the iPhone 13 through iPhone X, and $69 for the iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier models.

Good news for anyone with active AppleCare+ coverage on their iPhone, or those planning to purchase coverage on a new device. Apple has quietly changed the terms of service. Until recently, AppleCare+ provided for two accidental damage incidents per year.

Now AppleCare+ customers can rest assured that unlimited repairs for accidental damage protection are included in the plan. Of course, each incident requires a service fee for covered repairs. The breakdown is as follows:

Apple extends AirPods Pro service program

Almost a year ago Apple initiated a repair program for AirPods Pro. A small percentage of users with AirPods Pro manufactured before October 2020 reported problems with crackling or static noises, and Active Noise Cancellation not working properly. The repair program offers service to fix these issues once confirmed.

Initially the program covered affected AirPods Pro for up to two years after the first retail sale. Apple has quietly extended the program to three years, giving customers more time to discover and solve any problems they are experiencing.

How to fix Apple Watch stuck in Power Reserve

A limited number of Apple Watch units might not charge after entering Power Reserve mode. Power Reserve normally saves the last of the battery life remaining by shutting down all features except the time. Pressing the side button in Power Reserve displays the time and a red low battery icon. When the battery gets too low, the watch will automatically enter Power Reserve.

How to get free replacement AirPods Pro

AirPods Pro

If your AirPods Pro are acting up, you may be able to get a free replacement pair directly from Apple. The company initiated its AirPods Pro service program to address sound issues experienced by some customers. The problems only occur in AirPods Pro manufactured prior to October 2020, and do not affect the charging cases at all.
