What is the iPhone 6s release date?

Apple is likely to continue its annual update cycle when it launches the iPhone 6s. Despite the occasional rumor of a summer release, most reports put the iPhone 6s release date in fall 2015.

Since moving to the fall iPhone launch schedule, dates have been as follows:
iPhone 4S: Friday October 14, 2011
iPhone 5: Friday September 21, 2012
iPhone 5s: Friday September 20, 2013
iPhone 6: Friday September 19, 2014

The most similar date this year points to a Friday September 18, 2015 launch of the iPhone 6s.

Will the iPhone 7 Feature an OLED Display?

Imagine an iPhone display that's thinner, looks better, and extends battery life to boot. Reports indicate that Apple supplier Foxconn is partnering with InnoLux on a new manufacturing plant. The facility would be dedicated to producing OLED panels for Apple wearables and smartphones.

The Foxconn plant is slated to enter mass production in 2016, which could align smartphone OLED production with an iPhone 7 launch later that year. The Apple Watch is currently the only Apple product known to utilize an OLED display, despite past rumors of the technology heading to the iPhone.

Rumored 'iPhone 6s' May Have Dual Lens Camera, Force Sensor

Although the next iPhone isn't due for another eight months (if Apple sticks to its traditional schedule), its never too early for the rumor mill. The dual lens rumor has been floating around for at least a month or two now. Today, new speculation from Taiwan, spotted by AppleInsider, supports it, and suggests the next generation iPhone could also have a "force sensor."

A dual lens system would allow the sensor to collect more light, making it more functional in low light situations. It also might be capable of optical zoom, which zooms with the actual lens, as opposed to a digital zoom, allowing for much higher photo quality.

What is the iPhone 6s Mini?

First and foremost, the iPhone 6s mini is currently a rumor. According to AppleInsider, analyst Timothy Arcuri believes Apple may launch a new 4-inch iPhone alongside the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus next year. The device would be named the iPhone 6s mini, presumably to match the upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The refresh of the smaller-screen iPhone would keep one-handed usability in the lineup, which Apple always highlighted when marketing the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, and iPhone 5c. One feature of the larger iPhones is Reachability, which uses software to make user interface elements reachable with one hand. The iPhone 5c would probably be replaced by the iPhone 6s mini next fall, but what kind of specifications can we expect on an updated 4-inch device?
