Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy now available on the App Store

Telltale today launched Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy TTG to the Apple App Store. The first episode to the episodic game series is available for $4.99.

The game follows all five Guardians, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, on an all new adventure where they discover an artifact of unspeakable power. " Each of the Guardians has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands," according to the official App Store description.

Disney's Club Penguin moves to mobile

Many were disappointed after Disney announced it was closing its popular kids’ title Club Penguin after 12 years. The game became an internet legend for not only introducing many children to their first online social network, but it was also known for spawning many memes due to its strict guidelines. The game is one of the few early internet networks that managed to survive over many years, unlike other popular sites of its time, such as My Space. Club Penguin was also a popular target for trolls who enjoyed inventing news ways to get themselves banned from the service.

Before there were thousands of horror-related titles to choose from Ghosts'n Goblins was the go to favorite for many video game fans in the 80s. The run and gun platformer is one of Capcom's best selling titles, getting its start stealing quarters in the arcade before being ported to almost every major home system and platform. The game has also spawned several sequels, including Ghosts 'n Goblins: Gold Knights for iOS. The entire franchise is legendary for its level of difficulty with the original earning its own Angry Video Game Nerd episode. The first sequel Ghouls 'n Ghosts was also called the "world's second most difficult game ever made" by GameTrailers.

Capcom releases arcade classics 1942 and Ghosts'n Goblins for mobile devices

Capcom today has released two arcade classics to the Apple App Store. First is the popular airplane shooter 1942. The vertical scroller was first released to the arcade in 1984. In the game players control a plane called the "Super Ace" during World War II. The goal of the game is to mow down the opposing army as you roll and loop to avoid enemy fire.

The mobile version features all the classic arcade action of the original with new touch-screen controls, global leaderboards and achievements. 1942 is available now on the App Store for $1.99. It supports all devices running iOS 8.0 or later.
