Best iOS 10 feature: Remove pre-installed Apple apps

Apple Apps

Apple has finally made one of the most requested user features a reality. iPhone and iPad users who install iOS 10 will be able to remove most built-in Apple apps on their device. This means you will no longer have to stare at or hide pre-installed apps you never use, such as iBooks and Stocks. You still won't be able to remove the App Store app, Camera app, Activity app, Wallet, Find My iPhone, Health app, Messages and Safari, but you can remove anything else from your Home screen. Apple has also killed off the dreaded Game Center app in its most recent beta. Here's a list of apps you can remove from your Home screen in iOS 10:

iOS App(s) of the Week: Build Away, Heroes of Loot 2 and more

Build Away

There are more than 1.5 million apps available on the Apple App Store. Not only does the sheer amount of App Store options make it hard for developers to get their apps noticed, but Apple doesn't make it any easier for consumers to discover new apps with its confusing App Store interface. Today we are going to look at 5 apps, instead of one, to shed some light on the variety of noteworthy apps and games released this week.

iOS App of the Week: Civilization Revolution

Civilization Revolution

Civilization Revolution was released way back in 2009 but it is still one of my favorite strategy games on the Apple App Store. The iOS version is a great addition to the popular Civilization franchise, and it deserves another look from fans who ignored it the first time around.

For those who are new to the series, Civilization Revolution is a console version of the PC game developed by Firaxis Games and the original creator, Sid Meier. The iOS version was released as a redesigned iPad app, a universal app and a free "Lite" version. A sequel was released in 2014, but it was initially met with negative reviews by fans who claimed it was just a lazy remake. The sequel eventually managed to win some fans over earning a solid 4 star rating on the App Store.
