Google offers free 4 month trial of Unlimited Play Music for 4th of July

While you wait for iOS 10 and Apple's redesigned Music app, Google would like you to try its music streaming service this July 4th. The first 4 months of Google Play Music is now free with a new subscription. Google Play Music is a lot like other popular streaming services, such as Spotify. It offers on-demand and commercial free access to 35 million songs for $9.99 per month. Users can listen across all their devices, including their iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. Other features include offline listening, access to podcasts and the ability to upload up to 50,000 of your own tracks.

Square Enix has released a lot of Final Fantasy games to the App Store, but up until now most of them have been remakes of the classic console titles. The latest Final Fantasy mobile release is a collaboration between Brave Frontier creator A-Lim and Square-Enix. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was designed specifically for iOS and Android. It is also a freemium title, unlike the main Final Fantasy games, which are primarily premium releases. Brave Exvius was originally launched in Japan in 2015, but it has finally made its way to the US App Store.

Several reports over the months have predicted the demise of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the upcoming iPhone 7. More evidence has surfaced that Apple indeed plans to send the legacy audio jack to its final resting place alongside the floppy drive. Images leaked on the Chinese site Weibo show standard EarPods with one glaring difference: a Lightning connector in place of the familiar audio plug.

What is Force Touch ID? According to a report from Cowen and Company, Apple may debut the technology on the iPhone 7 this fall. Force Touch ID would replace the home button with a capacitive touch sensor to unlock the device. The iPhone 7 concept from designer Yasser Farahi shown above includes a flush home button that avoids using any moving parts.

Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards

Kongregate and Fox Digital Entertainment announced on Monday that American Dad!, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Futurama, and King of the Hill will all be represented in its new collectible card game for mobile devices. Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards is the ultimate crossover with characters from all five animated comedies being represented.

“We are thrilled to bring together these five animated comedies for the first time in Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards.” said Emily Greer, president and co-founder of Kongregate. “We are looking forward to integrating characters from these hit series in a unique and exciting way that fans of all the shows will really love.”
