Photos taken with the iPhone, or any digital camera for that matter, contain a variety of metadata including EXIF data (camera related data such as aperture, exposure, lens, etc.), GPS data and timestamps. This data can be accessed by anyone you share the photo with, so it clearly raises privacy concerns, e.g. you post a photo of your house that includes GPS coordinates of where your house is. Unfortunately there are currently no tools native to iOS that can remove or edit this metadata, so third party apps are required.

The popular collage maker and photo editor, PhotoGrid, has been updated to version 6.0. The major update adds several new features, including rolling comments and a new personalized feed. Users can now view rolling comments in the corner of every image shared within the app. This not only makes the sharing experience in PhotoGrid "more alive and interactive," but it also provides each image with itsr own unique story, according to the apps developer, KS Mobile.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Apple has yet to add a camera to Apple Watch. While some watch owners might see this possibility as a distraction, others are chomping at the bit to FaceTime and snap photos directly from their wrists. CMRA makes this possible in a stylish, self-contained rechargeable band. In fact, CMRA adds two cameras to Apple Watch, a forward-facing camera to snap photos AND a FaceTime camera for live video calling.

Adobe Lightroom has long provided iOS users with the ability to edit professional-quality images directly on the iPhone. The latest update brings new features designed to take advantage of iOS 10 and even more so the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Hot off the presses, Lightroom 2.5.2 adds RAW capture support from directly within the app.
