While there has seemingly always been demand to turn Live Photos into GIFs, there hasn't been much said about turning GIFs into Live Photos. The latest version of Giphy has a tool for just that, however, allowing you to save your favorite GIFs in your camera roll as Live Photos, which you can use as wallpaper or as your lock screen image. Instagram continues to expand the Explore tab, giving users new ways to find interesting content. According to the Instagram blog, the latest update brings location and hashtag Stories to the section. The change is one of many that Instagram has rolled out over the past five years since the Explore tab first launched.

Apple continues to expand on its series of iPhone photography tutorials after launching the project earlier this month. Titled "How to Shoot on iPhone 7", the series features 40-second instructional videos highlighting the capabilities of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cameras.

The latest version of Google Photos brings Apple fans an incredibly useful new feature. Version 2.14 adds AirPlay compatibility, making it possible to view photos and videos on Apple devices. This update means that Google Photos for iOS now supports the Apple TV in addition to casting directly to Chromecast devices.

Adobe has updated Lightroom Mobile to version 2.7.0. The latest release adds a new feature described as "Authentic HDR" to Apple devices, and makes it possible to export original RAW images directly to the iOS camera roll. While the native Camera app includes its own HDR functionality, Adobe touts their raw HDR as a superior shooting mode.
