Capturing all of life's precious moments has never been easier thanks to the iPhone. The stock Apple Camera app includes several different shooting modes. One of the hidden features of the iPhone camera is Burst mode, first introduced on the iPhone 5s. Unlike shooting modes such as Pano or Square, Burst shooting is not selected before the image is framed.

Facebook is rolling out its latest photo sharing feature on the News Feed and in VR. It's called 3D photos, and it captures depth and movement in subjects using the distance between the foreground and background. The technology requires Portrait Mode, which is available on the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The feature will be available in various markets around the world over the next few weeks.

Concerned about privacy when using popular apps like Instagram? One news story after another highlighting data breaches and undisclosed app activity has some iPhone owners on edge. The fact that Facebook owns Instagram hasn't exactly made users of the most popular photo sharing platform more comfortable, considering the company's dependence on advertising for revenue. Despite privacy controls on iOS devices, sharing the Camera Roll with apps is easy, but who knows what apps actually do with access to your entire Photo Library?
Aside from deleting your Instagram account entirely, there are steps you can take to protect your data from being exploited by advertisers. Improving Instagram privacy requires checking a few settings and changing what data iPhone owners allow Instagram to access.

iOS devices offer a quick way to hide specific pictures in the Photos app. Hiding photos simply places them into a Hidden album, and removes the images from elsewhere in the photo library. While this provides iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users with an easy method of hiding pictures on the Camera Roll or another album, these images can be viewed directly in the Hidden album at any time.
The Photos app on iOS automatically stores deleted photos in a special album titled Recently Deleted. Any images in this album will be retained for 30 days after deletion. As of iOS 8.1, there is no option to turn off this feature to delete photos right away.
Of course, the advantage is that deleted photos can easily be recovered within the 30-day window.
