Free iPhone Games: Stupid Zombies 2 - Fun Physics Puzzler

Stupid Zombies 2 by GameResort LLC is currently free for the iPhone and iPad. This is the full ad-free version, not the normal preview version offered in the App Store. The game will only be free for a limited time until it returns to its normal $0.99 price, so grab it now while you have the chance.

The sequel to the popular physics puzzler game features 500 new levels, and the option to choose between a male and female hero character. The game is a simple physics shooter where you must destroy stupid zombies with your laser guided shotgun. Like any physics puzzler, Stupid Zombies offers hours of addictive and sometimes frustrating fun. You can earn extra points by getting headshots, and must earn stars to unlock the various levels. There are plenty of different zombies to kill, and lots of challenging scenarios that will keep you busy.

JED-GO Untouchable Free For a Limited Time: Download Cowboy vs. Zombies Instead

JED-GO Untouchable from JED GAMES is currently free through the Apple App Store, but so is the classic iOS game Cowboy vs. Zombies. Both games are simplistic shooters where players must defend themselves from waves of zombies. In JED-GO the player is tasked with defending three tiers of artificial brains from various alien created monsters. The game features plenty of upgrades, weapons and 48 different levels through four different scenarios (Desert Encounter, Toxic Sewage, Mutation Plant and Space Invasion). However, you'll probably get bored of the game before you have a chance to buy anything cool (like a pet dragon), or get to the Toxic Sewage stage.

”Free

JED-GO Untouchable defiantly tries to be interesting with its various over-the-top upgrades and creatures, but its tedious gameplay will bore older players. The game is more suited for children than gamers looking for a fun and simple zombie shooter to pass the time. Cowboy vs. Zombies may be less creative than JED-GO, but it offers a more challenging gaming experience.

PopCap Announces Plants vs. Zombies Sequel Coming This Summer

PopCap, a division of Electronic Arts Inc, has rolled out the first of many planned sequels to Plants vs. Zombies as a closed beta on Facebook. Plants vs. Zombies Adventures is a social media game where players can interact online while thwarting the zombie invasion. PopCap will officially roll out PvZ Adventures to the general public this spring, before releasing Zombie vs. Plants 2 this summer.

Curt Bererton, head of PopCap’s San Francisco studio, promises Plants vs. Zombies Adventures will feature plenty of new plants and zombies, along with old favorites.

“The [game] features all-new forms of zombie combat that will open PvZ to a whole new world, explained Bereton. "We like to think we’re creating a brand new twist on the classic Plants vs. Zombies that is the most social, shareable and expansive Plants vs. Zombies experience ever.”

Samurai vs Zombies Defense 2 Now Available [Free iPhone Games]

Glu Games has released the follow-up to its popular iOS and Android game Samurai vs Zombies Defense. The sequel offers the same side-scrolling zombie slicing action as the original, plus a variety of new features. Users can now buy/unlock multiple heroes, new upgrades and even compete in multiplayer modes. You can also attempt to complete a "Daily Challenge" to earn new prizes each day.

The game is still free to download, and features the same pop-up ads, in-app purchases, and gem system as the original. Hopefully you can still earn free gems from playing the game, and not by only completing surveys. There is also an unlockable "Sorceress" character for $59.99!?!

Yet Another Zombie Defense Only $1 for a Limited Time

The popular Xbox Live game Yet Another Zombie Defense is now available for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. Even better, it's being offered half off its normal $1.99 price for a limited time. Yet Another Zombie Defense is a tower defense and dual-stick shooter game where you must survive waves of zombies by barricading yourself in before nightfall. You can buy various weapons to mount onto auto turrets and set up defensive barricades to try and survive the night. The game also offers 16 achievements, and leaderboard support.

The dual-stick controls can be a little annoying on the iPhone or iPod, and having to restart every time you die is very annoying. However, I think most strategy / defense fans will enjoy this game, especially on the iPad (or maybe the iPhone 5's larger screen). The only game I can compare it to is The Last Stand 2, but I think Last Stand is better. You can download the Yet Another Zombie Defense Lite for free before investing the $0.99. But makeup your mind quickly because it won't be $1 forever!
