How can I fix waiting iPhone apps that will not install?
When an iPhone application has a grey icon and says it's waiting, normally the app will quickly change to loading and then installing as it continues the process of downloading and installing to your device. Sometimes the app hangs at waiting and never progresses. Usually this is due to a connection problem with the App Store or some other issue.
The easiest way to correct the problem is to restart your iPhone using the power button. When the iPhone reboots the waiting icons should continue to load and install normally, assuming your cellular data or Wi-Fi connection is working properly.

Open iTunes and go to iTunes Store under Store along the left menu bar. (Don't use the App Store app on your device that shows stuck installing.) Search for, and download the app to iTunes. You will be able to install it from the Apps list after that. It just worked for me...thought I'd share.

anyone can comment to my issue:
on my ipad mini IOS using the latest version.
The apps wont update or install
1. the app store has 12 pending updates, when you click on it, it does nothing.
2. apps that needs to be updated, is greyout and can't be opened. If you click on some apps, I get the waiting, then it hangs.
3. I install the latest IOS in recovery mode. no luck
4. I rebooted the iphone multiple times. no luck
5. internet works fabulous, my iphone works great, its only the ipad.
6. I reset the network settings. no luck
7. I could do a restore, but my last restore backup on my pc, is old and not the version that I want, so what can I do?

I Found the solution out by accident: The apps are mostly paused by not enough data or connection fauilure.
Go to app store on the phone: you will see the apps are on hold(what normally is the update button). push it until update re-appears. updaate all again..
If this doesnt work, there is a diffrent problem (ios10)

I found the apps blurry and grey. For a very long time. So, I opened APP STORE on my phone. Then I clicked on UPDATES. Then I opened all APPS. Then I saw MOST of them were ''clouds''. So, I clicked on every single ''cloud''. The ''cloud'' then turns into a circle and then only all THE APPS started to download. It will download ....... until EVERY single ''cloud'' shows ''OPEN''. So the process became MANUALLY.

You cant download apps from the itunes store, just music and podcasts. You can only get apps from the app store, that's why it's called the app store.
