Apple today has released a new battery case for the iPhone 6 and 6s. The Smart Battery Case promises to extend your battery life while protecting your phone from damage. The new iPhone accessory allows you to charge your case and iPhone at the same time using your Lightning to USB Cable, and it is also compatible with Apple's iPhone Lightning Dock.

Facebook may be the biggest social networking service in the world, but its many attempts to take over people's smartphones with various services, such as Facebook Home, have all failed. Facebook's latest attempt at smartphone domination included Creative Labs -- a company initiative that encouraged Facebook employees to design mobile applications for smart devices. On Monday, Facebook quietly pulled the plug on Creative Labs and three of its apps, according to CNET.

Apple is hot on the heels of Fitbit for the top spot in the worldwide wearables market, according to IDC. The Apple Watch has seen a slight bump in sales from an estimated 3.6M units in Q2 to 3.9M in Q3. This makes Apple the number two wearables vendor worldwide after Fitbit, with Chinese vendor Xiaomi finishing third, and newcomer XTC helping knock Samsung out of the top five.
