For any Beats Music users who haven't migrated their music, preferences, playlists, and other content to Apple Music, time is running out. Apple announced a deadline of January 19, 2016, after which Beats Music account information will be deleted. Beats Music service was replaced by Apple Music and officially went off the air on November 30.

Microsoft has officially launched its digital personal assistant Cortana to the App Store. iPod touch, iPhone and iPad users can now use the Cortana app to set reminders, make appointments, send emails and more. Microsoft's personal assistant differs from Siri because it works with your PC. For example, users can create an appointment on their home computer and Cortana will send them a reminder on their iPhone when it's time for their meeting.

The paint on the fourth generation Apple TV is hardly dry, but this hasn't stopped chatter in the supply chain from focusing on a refresh of Apple's set top box. According to Taiwan-based DigiTimes Apple is working on significant changes to the Apple TV, which could arrive in consumers' hands by spring.

iOS 9.2 is now available as an OTA update for all compatible devices. The update includes many new features, bug fixes and accessibility improvements with a heavy emphasis on Apple Music. Users who upgrade to iOS 9.2 can now "create a new playlist when adding a song to a playlist," use the iCloud button to download albums or playlists from their iCloud Music Library, and see what tracks have been downloaded thanks to a new download indicator next to each song, according to the release notes.

The photo sharing site Flickr has revealed its 2015 Year in Review. Aside from showcasing some of the year's best photography, Flickr is able to crunch the EXIF data embedded in photos uploaded to the site. As it turns out, camera phones were used to capture a total of 39 percent of all photos and videos posted this year.
