There are plenty of toys on the market that use the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as a remote control. How many of these send a live feed of their surroundings directly to your device? Now with the iSpy Tank you can turn your iOS device into the nerve center of your top secret espionage operation.

The free i-spy toys app provides complete control of the tank, along with up/down and zoom controls for the camera turret. Of course, you can shoot still photos of your target and record video directly to your iPhone. The iSpy Tank boasts a control range of up to 90 feet with its own built-in Wi-Fi network.

Unlike previous iOS releases, iOS 6 has been a tough nut to crack. However, pod2g has taken a break from developing apps to work on a solution with fellow iOS hacker planetbeing. This is great news since pod2g announced in September that he was not working on an iOS 6 jailbreak.

On Friday, planetbeing tweeted that the pair had made more progress:

Pod2g responded by announcing they had discovered two new vulnerabilities, but said they're still far away from a public release:

Facebook has begun rolling out its free voice call service to U.S. iPhone users. The free voice calling feature was originally tested in Canada, but now iPhone users in the U.S. with the Facebook Messenger app can also use the service.

To make a free voice call from the Facebook Messenger app, just tap the "i" icon in the top right hand corner while viewing a chat with the person you want to call. You will be taken to the "Contact Info" screen that now features the "Free Call" option. The calls can only be made over a Wi-Fi connection, so don't expect to use it while on the road.

One of the most popular iPhone and iPad games is finally getting a sequel. Imangi Studios plans to release Temple Run 2 to the App Store around 11 p.m. EST tonight. TouchArcade got an early look at the game, and said fans of the original won't be disappointed with the new version, which turned out to be very similar to the first.

"I’ve been playing Temple Run 2 for the past day, and for the most part what wasn’t broke has not been fixed. Right from first boot up you’ll get a sense of deja vu as the camera sweeps in on the cursed idol that has been the cause of so much running over the past year and a half."

TouchArcade also noted the game has "received a big upgrade in terms of visuals and animation over its predecessor", and features much more fluid controls. Temple Run 2 also features new ziplines, an Indiana Jones-like mine cart, four different playable characters, and more attributes and upgradable abilities.

Waiting for the iPhone 5S to launch before upgrading? If a report cited by AppleInsider is right, you won't be waiting too long. Apple is said to be readying for March production of the iPhone 5S, with a scheduled release date in June or July 2013.

The report comes from research by Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, who states that there are currently two Apple prototypes being tested. One of these devices is the upcoming iPhone 5S, while the other could be a rumored low-cost iPhone model set for initial launch later in 2013. Misek estimates that Apple will sell up to 44 million iPhones during the current quarter.
