iPhone 6s and 6s Plus breaks sales record, expanding to 40 additional countries

Apple on Monday announced that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have set a new sales record with more than 13 million units sold in only three days after its launch.

“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

Apple releases list of 25 infected XcodeGhost apps

Over 30 apps identified by Apple, mostly available on the Chinese App Store, were infected with malware after developers mistakenly downloaded a rogue copy of iOS Xcode development tool. Apple quickly responded over the weekend by pulling the apps from the App Store, and today the company has updated its XcodeGhost Q&A page with a list of the top 25 most popular apps impacted by the malware. The list includes popular titles such as Rovio’s Angry Birds 2 and the messaging app WeChat.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are supposed to begin shipping on Friday, September 25, but some New York City residents may have to wait until Saturday to receive their handset. Controversial blogger Sam Biddle shared an alleged email from Apple on Twitter informing him that the delivery of his iPhone 6s may be delayed until Saturday.
