Color Convos puts a unique spin on recoloring the Messages app on jailbroken iOS devices. Color coding individual message threads with custom colors via an RGB slider takes place right inside the app. Once installed, Color Convos blends right into the stock Messages app. Tap and hold an outgoing message bubble and the option to Change Color can be accessed by tapping More in the pop-up menu.

The jailbreak tweak iPicar provides a unique way to hide specific conversations in the Messages app from prying eyes. Once installed iPicar can be configured with an alternate passcode, which will hide message threads when the iPhone is unlocked. Unlocking with the normal passcode reveals all message conversations within the Messages app.

Looking to temporarily hide conversation threads in the iOS Messages app? The jailbreak tweak HiddenConvos has you covered. Once installed, HiddenConvos adds new swipe functionality directly to Messages, with no options or settings to configure.
Simply swipe to the left on a message thread, and a blue Hide button appears right next to the standard Delete option. Tapping Hide will make the conversation thread disappear without deleting the thread entirely. Not only this, but when hidden, the conversation will automatically be put into Do Not Disturb mode. This means incoming alerts will be silenced, hiding all incoming messages.

With iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, Apple sought to connect its devices with features such as Handoff, which lets you start a task on one device and pick it up on another; phone call relaying, personal hotspot, and SMS and MMS relaying. The last feature allows you to forward messages from your iPhone to your iMac, MacBook or iPad, and it's one of those features that, once you use it, you'll marvel at the neolithic world we lived in just a few short months ago. Now you'll no longer have to leave your computer to check on the chimes you heard coming from the other room, and you'll be able to type your messages a whole lot faster.
Of course we've had this for iMessages for a while, but now you can send to and receive from non-iPhone people (SMS texts require a cell phone carrier while iMessages are routed through Apple's servers).

Tapping the Send button accidentally can make for some embarrassing messages. Even worse is realizing as a message is being delivered that it's going to the wrong person. iOS has no way to stop the message or delay sending, until now. Enter the jailbreak tweak SendDelay.
Other tweaks such as DoubleCheck can help to reduce messaging errors, however SendDelay actually postpones message delivery. This creates a window of time during which the message can be stopped. As delivery is happening, the Send button actually turns into a Stop button, which can be used to stop sending.
