Just a week after the iOS 14.5 drop, Apple has released a minor bug fix with iOS 14.5.1. Alongside the latest update, Apple has also launched iOS 12.5.3 for older iPhones. These updates are recommended for all users and can be installed using an over-the-air (OTA) update. Apple has fixed an issue with app tracking and improved security on its mobile devices.

Exciting changes are in store for upcoming iPhone models. If the latest leaks are to be believed, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has bold predictions for the future of Face ID. Changes start with the iPhone lineup this fall, which noticeably shrinks the width of the display notch. The black display notch houses necessary components for Face ID, including the TrueDepth camera.

The specs haven't changed, but Apple has moved closer to completing the rainbow with its iPhone 12 lineup. Both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are now available in a "stunning" purple finish. Apple also launched a new MagSafe Leather Case, and a Leather Sleeve. Colors for these MagSafe accessories include Amethyst, Cantaloupe, Capri Blue, or Pistachio. Apple showed off the latest colorways at its "Spring Loaded" special media event.

Only days from now, Apple puts on its Spring Loaded special media event. Scheduled to kick off on April 20 at 1 PM Eastern time (10 AM Pacific), the event will be a pre-recorded video stream from Apple Park. The logo for the upcoming feature harkens back to the classic rainbow Apple logo, albeit with a twist. No official details have been released, but leaks and rumors point to an exciting show.

Apple announced it will repeat its all-online format for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year. The event takes place from June 7 to 11, with no cost to developers.
