The Apple Watch already features a built-in heart rate monitor, however Apple is poised to improve this technology with an on-board electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG). Such a sensor would provide more detailed information regarding the electrical activity of the wearer's heart, potentially warning of irregular heart rates.

Many have wondered what corporate America will do after the new tax law is passed by the White House. According to Gene Munster at Loup Ventures, Apple will repatriate $214 billion in cash overseas using a one-time 15.5 percent tax rate. But what will Apple do with the money?

Apple has confirmed that iOS 10.2.1 was the first version of iOS to feature a new power management function. The feature has become controversial, as it temporarily slows CPU processes on older devices with poorly functioning batteries. Apple has implemented the feature to prevent iOS devices from shutting down spontaneously due to low battery voltage.

Unlike Nintendo, Sega has really embraced mobile gaming releasing many titles to the Apple App Store. It also helps that their star character, Sonic, is almost tailor-made for mobile devices. Sonic Runners Adventure isn't the first endless runner to star the famous hedgehog and his pals, but it's one of the few that has received mostly positive reviews from App Store customers.

Star Wars Battlefront II sparked an online outrage over microtransactions and loot crates prompting some governments to investigate EA for “glorified gambling." Loot crates are basically IAPs where players can spend real world money on digital boxes which deliver random benefits. Players can receive everything from dud rewards to helpful upgrades giving them an advantage in the game. Loot crates are basically designed to keep players spending money in hopes of receiving better or more in-game benefits.
