According to sources familiar with Apple's plans, the company may hold its much-anticipated event to unveil the iPhone 15 on Wednesday, September 13th. Rumor has it that mobile carriers have been instructing their employees not to take any days off on that particular date due to an imminent major smartphone announcement. While this doesn't guarantee that the announcement is Apple-related, it aligns with the company's tradition of holding iPhone events in September.

Concerns are surfacing that the highly anticipated iPhone 15 lineup could face a delay in its launch this fall, potentially pushing the release to October instead of the usual September timeframe. The claim originates from a research note by Wamsi Mohan, an Apple stock analyst renowned for his financial predictions. Although he has successfully forecasted Apple's monetary conditions in the past, his record on predicting future plans for the tech giant has been less reliable.

Faster data transfer speeds and universal cable compatibility are just two things on the horizon for the next generation iPhone coming later this year.
