The excellent software package f.lux automatically adjusts the color temperature of computer and mobile device screens at night. Not only does this prevent your iPhone screen from blasting bright blue light during nighttime hours, it can help with eyestrain and sleep patterns. Unfortunately, the only option to run f.lux on an iOS device is to jailbreak. Now, thanks to iOS 9 and Xcode it's possible to sideload apps onto a device without using the App Store. This is where the app Gamma Thingy comes into play.

One of the features Apple highlights on the iPhone 6s is Live Photos. While only the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus can capture Live Photos, any device running iOS 9 is capable of viewing these moving images. When it comes to the files, Live Photos are essentially a still accompanied by a short video recorded at 15 frames per second. Non-Apple devices and those running older versions of iOS will only see Live Photos as a normal still image. So what is the best way to share Live Photos and preserve their movement using iOS 9?

In the wake of the so called "Chipgate," many iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners are concerned with what brand of A9 processor powers their phones. The mostly unfounded concern arose when, a little over a week ago, some benchmarks showed that the slightly larger 16nm TSMC brand A9 chip was 20% more efficient (in terms of power consumption) than the 14nm Samsung version.

iOS 9 introduced several new features that greatly improve the overall Mail experience - the ability to preview emails and links within them using 3D Touch, the ability to attach files and save attachments to iCloud Drive and the ability to annotate attachments.

3D Touch technology, which debuted with the iPhone 6s models, gives the touch screen another dimension of functionality, allowing users to perform the usual soft taps, and adding two levels of harder taps to activate "Peek and Pop" features. While Apple hails the technology as "the next generation of Multi-Touch," some lament it as simply right-click functionality that could have been achieved with a long press (which will very likely show up as a jailbreak option for older iPhones).
