Hot iPhone 5 Renderings Based on Leaked Parts

These may not be the first iPhone 5 mockups to appear, but they are some of the best. Not only this, but the photo and video below are based on leaked parts and other information from sources across Apple's supply chain and beyond. The devices have been slimmed down from the iPhone 4S profile, and the front-facing camera has been moved to the center of the earpiece. The display has been extended to a 16:9 ratio, with space for an additional row of icons on the home screen.

Apple iOS 6 Upgrade Details Revealed

Now that WWDC 2012 is only a few days away, there's been plenty of time for speculation, research, rumors and leaks. Apple is set to show off its latest mobile operating system next week, iOS 6. So what have we learned is already in the works for the firmware?

According to reports, Apple will focus primarily on major improvements to apps, while most functions of iOS will remain unchanged. iPad 3 owners will be happy to know that Siri is expected to launch on their devices with the release of iOS 6. So what does iOS 6 have in store for the rest of us?

iPhone 5 to Feature New Camera and HD FaceTime

Apple has always focused on the iPhone's capability to create as well as consume content. Ever since the first iPhone camera and camera roll, iPhone users have been recording anywhere they can bring their device. The sixth-generation iPhone will be no different, and according to MacRumors there are big changes to cameras in the works.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities reports that the larger screen featured on the iPhone 5 will have a 16:9 film aspect ratio, demanding an HD front facing camera for FaceTime. Apple will also make changes to the rear camera to slim down the device, while keeping an 8MP image sensor.

New Jailbreak Tweaks: BannerDisable and FacebookThis

Two new and interesting jailbreak tweaks popped up in Cydia today. BannerDisable adds a “Do Not Disturb” toggle switch to your iPhone. The switch allows you to quickly disable notifications for all apps with one button. Once installed, the “Do Not Disturb” toggle will appear beneath the Airplane Mode option under Settings for quick access. There is also another tweak called DoNotDisturb which adds the same kind of switch to your Notification Center.

The second tweak called FacebookThis allows users to upload photos to Facebook directly from their Camera Roll. Apple is expected to announce full Facebook integration with iOS 6 next week at the WWDC conference. This tweak allows jailbreakers who will not be upgrading to experience some Facebook integration, but not the full Facebook integration non-jailbreakers will be enjoying in the future.

When you're interested in seeing the whole track name, just hold down on the track listing and a black pop-up box will appear. Inside this box will be the complete track title without any abbreviation. Once you lift your finger, the box will remain open until you tap the screen again.
