Kingdom Rush Origins Available Tonight: Meet the New Heroes!

The prequel to Ironhide Game Studio's popular tower defense game, Kingdom Rush, is set to land on the Apple App Store tonight at 11:00 PM Eastern and on the Amazon app store and Google Play on November 20th. Kingdom Rush Origins takes place before the events of the original Kingdom Rush and its sequel Kingdom Rush Frontiers. Ironhide has released three YouTube videos showcasing the game's new heroes:

iOS 8.1.1 Released: Improves iPhone 4s and iPad 2 Performance and Patches Pangu Jailbreak

Apple has officially released iOS 8.1.1. The update includes bug fixes and performance improvements for older hardware. This is good news for iPhone 4s and iPad 2 owners who were concerned about a previous Ars Technica report that said iOS 8 ran slower on these devices. iOS 8.1.1 also patches the recently released Pangu jailbreak and should be avoided if you plan to keep your device jailbroken.

At the time of this post Apple is still signing iOS 8.1. Meaning this is your last chance to upgrade to 8.1 if you want to jailbreak at the last iOS release possible. Once again, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) stock closed the week at a record high. Share prices closed at $114.18 on Friday, a day after Apple paid a dividend of $0.47 per share on 5.87 billion shares for a record $2.9 billion pay out. This makes Apple the largest dividend payer of the year, just ahead of Exxon Mobil. The company's market cap now stands at its highest ever, $665 billion.

Recent research data show that, in the first thirty days, the iPhone 6 outsold the iPhone 6 Plus by a 3 to 1 margin. According to UBS analyst Steven Milunovich, surveys in the Chinese market show there is much higher demand there for the larger model. Considering this, UBS raised its target price for Apple shares from $115 to $125.

Apple Weekly News Roundup: Black Friday, Spy Games and More

With Black Friday just two weeks away, many retailers last week started announcing holiday shopping deals on Apple products. Walmart, Best Buy, Staples and Target, among others, will be offering discounts on select iPhone and iPad models, as well as Beats products for the biggest shopping day of the year. Aside from discounts, many of the chains will also offer rebates in the form of gift cards.

According to a Thursday report from the Wall Street Journal, the Department of Justice has had a program in place since 2007 that uses fake cell phone towers to locate people. The fake towers are actually Boeing-made devices know as "dirtboxes" that are mounted on small aircraft. By flying around and picking up a signal from the target's cell phone, the target's location can quickly be triangulated. According to the DoJ, non-target signals are "let go."
