Telltale's Batman series being met with negative reviews on iOS

Batman - The Telltale Series

Telltale has had a pretty rock solid reputation for releasing great games based on popular franchises, such as The Walking Dead and even Minecraft, but iOS users have been pretty disappointed in the recently released Batman title from the developer. The iOS version of Batman - The Telltale Series has finally been released to the App Store after being delayed a few weeks. The game has already been available on consoles like the PS4 and PC for almost two months. In that time it has earned a mostly positive rating on Steam, and average scores on Metacritic. However, it has been a different story on the App Store and on Apple gaming forums.

iOS App of the Week: More iMessage stickers

Monsterfy it!

Before we look at this week's newest stickers, here's a quick note on why you may not be seeing the stickers you have downloaded in your App Drawer. If you're trying to install stickers to your App Drawer in the Messages app but they do not appear, it is because you have the Automatically Add Apps slider disabled. If you have this disabled you need to either enable it in the App Store settings, or manually add individual sticker packs to your App Drawer. You can click here to learn how.

The nice people of Emoji-Factory have sent us a few monster related stickers. The first sticker pack, Monsterfy It, is a set of monster facial features that you can add to any picture to create a goofy Snapchat inspired image. The $0.99 sticker pack includes a variety of monster eyes and mouths you can add to any image in your camera roll.

iOS developers get first look at iPhone 7 Plus Portrait mode

Depth-of-field effect

One of the few features that separates the iPhone 7 Plus from the iPhone 7 is the dual-camera system. The 5.5-inch model not only includes two cameras with a higher-quality zoom, but it offers an all-new depth-of-field feature. Also known as "Portrait" mode, this allows users to simulate a shallow depth of field effect commonly found on high-end DSLR cameras. Apple describes it as the ability to "keep faces sharp while creating a blurred effect in the background." You can see the effect demonstrated in the Apple sample photo posted above.
