Apple News Roundup

No huge news this past week, but a few interesting rumors about the next generation iPhone and iPad...

Although there have already been a thousand of them, a new iPhone 6 mockup surfaced this week, and it appears to incorporate all the latest believable rumors, including a repositioned sleep/wake button.

It also looks like the next iPad, the iPad Air 2, will also have some structural upgrades. Expect a slimmer body due to an integrated LCD panel and a thinner

bezel. The new iPad will also have an A8 processor and probably 2 GB RAM.

Rumor has it that, in an attempt to boost song download sales, Apple will be incorporating a song identification feature in iOS 8.

Although there were previous reports that Apple intended to discontinue the iPhone 5c, it appears that they're not quite ready to give up on it, as they are now offering it in 14 new markets.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is pushing for iOS to adopt their search engine. iOS currently uses Google.

Not surprisingly, iOS 8 traffic has surfaced. There's no official release date yet, but they will definitely show it off at the upcoming WWDC in early June.

If you are a Microsoft Office fanatic, their software is now available for the iPad.
