iOS App of the Week: Crosswords With Friends

Crosswords With Friends

Zynga, the creators of Words with Friends, have released Crosswords With Friends to the App Store. While not perfect, Crosswords is still the new must have time killing app to install on your iOS device, but first let me warn you that you can't play this game head-to-head like you do with Words. There is a tournament section for weekly rankings but the game is primarily a solo endeavor. You can't directly compete against your friends or solve a puzzle together.

iOS App of the Week: Pluto TV

Slow TV Pluto

Pluto TV is a free, commercial-supported linear television service for cord cutters. It is best used on Apple TV, Roku or the PlayStation, but there is a mobile version available for watching television on your iPhone or iPad. Pluto offers a variety of free live channels including major news sources such as NBC News & MSNBC, Sky News and The Weather Network. It also includes a variety of specialty channels like Pro Wrestling, Stand Up and the Crime Network.

iOS App of the Week: Robot Unicorn Attack 3

Robot Unicorn Attack 3

Adult Swim has officially redeemed unicorns by releasing the long awaited Robot Unicorn Attack 3 after Starbucks unsuccessfully tried to end all unicorn careers with its Unicorn Frappuccino. Actually the Unicorn Frappuccino was a huge success bumping Starbucks' sales and inspiring more "Instagramable" drinks, but that's another story. The third game in the Robot Unicorn Attack is here and that's all that really matters.

iOS App of the Week: Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm

Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm

Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm is described as a simulation game where the American rapper teaches you how to "plant, grow, and harvest the finest herb on earth." It reality Weed Farm is more of a clicker where you cultivate different types of cannabis by mindlessly tapping your display. Somehow the game has managed to earn a perfect App Store rating from over 1,000 user reviews since its release a few days ago. Not only is that a lot of reviews for a newly launched gamed, but it's a bit suspicious.

iOS App of the Week: Age of War 2

Age of War 2

The popular desktop title Age of War 2 is now available for iOS. If you have never played the Age of War series, they are side scrolling, tower defense games where you progress through different ages in time. Think Civ Rev but much simpler. Age of War 2 features two more ages than its predecessor. It also includes 29 unit types, the famous Chicken Turret, 4 difficulty modes and tons of achievements and challenges.
