iPhone 7 Rumors

The well-known leaker Evan Blass from @evleaks is at again. This time he has predicted that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available for pre-order starting September 9th. If Bass is correct, this makes it easier to predict the launch date by referencing previous Apple release cycles. The iPhone-maker typically announces new hardware in the middle of the week and opens pre-orders a few days later. For example, Apple unveiled the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus on September 9, followed by pre-orders on September 12. The new handsets then started shipping a couple of weeks later on September 25th.

Lightning EarPods

Several reports over the months have predicted the demise of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the upcoming iPhone 7. More evidence has surfaced that Apple indeed plans to send the legacy audio jack to its final resting place alongside the floppy drive. Images leaked on the Chinese site Weibo show standard EarPods with one glaring difference: a Lightning connector in place of the familiar audio plug.
