Ironhide announces Iron Marines for mid-2016

The creators of the Kingdom Rush franchise, Ironhide Game Studio announced its next title called Iron Marines. The real-time strategy game is slated for a "mid-2016" release on iOS and Android with Windows, Linux and Mac releases planned for a later date. Ironhide describes the game as a Sci-Fi RTS with lots of action and "tons of dumb jokes," but that is all the details they have revealed about the new game.

It's been over a decade since Carmen Sandiego and her V.I.L.E. underlings have been spotted anywhere, but the landmark stealing thief is back on iOS devices. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has released Carmen Sandiego Returns in celebration of the character's 30th anniversary. The new iOS game pits players as ACME agents against Sandiego and her henchmen as they cause mischief across the world from Rio de Janeiro to Singapore.

Carmen Sandiego Returns stays true to the formula of the original computer games by teaching children ages 9-11 about history, geography and world cultures.

"Carmen Sandiego Returns preserves the core gameplay, style and characters of the original game, while giving the brand a modern twist for today's digitally-savvy learners," said CJ Kettler, Chief of Consumer Brands and Strategy at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. "We are thrilled to celebrate the comeback of one of our most beloved characters and look forward to many more exciting developments for the brand over the coming months."

English-language option added to popular cat collecting game 'Neko Atsume'

Neko Atsume is a "kitty collector" title where the goal of the game is to become a digital cat lady. The game was previously only available in Japanese but it has been recently updated with an English-language option. In Neko Atsume players can buy items like rubber balls, cat food and other cat luxuries known as "goodies" to attract cats to their yard. The game is a lot like Pokémon in that the object is to collect all the cats and add them to your Cat Book. There are all kinds of cats to collect including rare cats that take certain items to attract.

In the year 2036 a genetically engineered serum has turned some humans into zombies. The government eventually captured all the undead and locked them within some of the largest cities, and that's when mob bosses like Papa Rainbow took advantage of the situation turning zombies into cage fighters. That's the basic story behind Zombie Deathmatch -- an all-new fighting game launching this October.

The game follows an immune human who sets out for revenge after Papa kills his zombie friend Brock because he wouldn't sign with his roster of fighters.

Flash Gordon is alive and he's coming to your iPhone

Flash Gordon fans will be able to download the official iOS game from the App Store on Thursday. Flash Gordon the game is based on the 1980 film starring Sam Jones. Yes, the same Sam Jones who also appeared in Seth MacFarlane talking teddy bear flicks, Ted and Ted 2. The side-scrolling endless-runner features three songs from the movie soundtrack by Queen and five levels: Ming’s Palace, Skies of Mongo, Arborian Forests, Aerial Assault, and War Rocket Ajax. Players can play as either Flash Gordon or travel journalist Dale Arden.
