Ironhide Game Studio has big plans for its recently released real-time strategy game Iron Marines. The developers plan on keeping players interested by releasing mini-missions while a bigger update is in the works, according to Touch Arcade. The first smaller update will hit devices on November 9th. It will include a two stage special ops mission, a new Sagan-1 story, a new Ascendaar story featuring Rob070, and two new premium bosses, Guiying and Trabuco.

While most Apple fans were busy complaining about the iPhone X notch, developer Ironhide launched its long awaited real time strategy game Iron Marines to the App Store. Ironhide is the studio behind the popular tower defense series Kingdom Rush. Iron Marines moves the action from a medieval fantasy world filled with elven warriors and legendary monsters to outer space.
Developer Ironhide Games set the bar so high with the tower defense game Kingdom Rush that they have never been able to top it. This doesn't mean that the sequel Kingdom Rush Frontiers and prequel Kingdom Rush Origins aren't great, they just never had a chance. The same goes for Ironhide's new sci-fi title Iron Marines. While a decent title that I highly recommend, Kingdom Rush still stands as one of the best tower defense games ever created.
It is no secret that we consider the Kingdom Rush series to be one of the best TD trilogies available for mobile devices. That's why we were very excited to hear that the game's developer, Ironhide Game Studio, has officially announced a release date for its latest title, Iron Marines.
Ironhide Game Studio announced on Facebook that production has begun on Kingdom Rush 4. No specific details were released about the new tower defense title, but the announcement did calm fears that Ironhide has abandoned the series to work on other projects. After releasing one sequel and a prequel, Kingdom Rush has been put on the back burner so Ironhide could concentrate on its new game called Iron Marines.
