Kingdom Rush goes free on App Store indefinitely

Ironhide Game Studio's hit tower defense title Kingdom Rush has gone free forever on the Apple App Store. This is a steal for iOS users since playing the game does not require any in-app purchases.

The medieval tower defense game put the indy developer Ironhide on the map, and it is still considered one of the best tower defense games ever released. Most importantly Ironhide never forget its fans and has been releasing regular updates for Kingdom Rush even since it was released in 2011.

Apple releases new Twitter account for App Store Games

Apple has been doing a lot with the App Store to promote gaming on iOS devices. In February it released a section dedicated to premium games with no in-app purchases, and it has changed the "Free" button to a "Get" button for games with IAPs. Apple also added several App Store enhancments with the release of iOS 8, including bundles and a new Explore tab for searching subcategories.

Developer Scott Cawthon announced today that he is planning to release a free update for Five Nights at Freddy's 4. The post titled "Halloween Content Update" was published on the game's official Steam page. Cawthon said that he is currently working on new content that will include "a cheat menu, a challenge menu, a twist on a familiar minigame" and a possible sneak peek at a new game that is not FNaF5.
