Apple stock (NASDAQ:AAPL) stayed in the doldrums last week, with prices remaining under $100. Since the last earnings report, investors have been concerned about iPhone sales. Shares opened Monday at $93.91 and peaked during Wednesday trading at $96.31 only to slide, bottoming out Thursday morning at $92.60. AAPL gained its footing on Friday, closing at $93.99, up eight cents per share over the week for virtually no change.
Apple stock (NASDAQ:AAPL) opened on Monday at $96.16, and during the trading day Google's parent company Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) briefly surpassed Apple as the most valuable company in the world. After Apple's earnings report hit, prices remained under $100. Alphabet also released a strong earnings report last week. Continuing the lackluster news for Apple, the company expects iPhone sales to decline year-over-year for the first time next quarter. Investors are concerned as the iPhone represents a majority of Apple's overall revenues. Both Alphabet and Apple are valued in the low to mid-$500 billion range.
More iPhone deals are happening this Black Friday weekend at T-Mobile. Both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c can be had for zero money down through Sunday, December 1st. This means Apple fans can save $149 up front on the iPhone 5s and $49 on the 5c.
Monthly installments for the 16GB iPhone 5s come to $27, with the 16GB iPhone 5c costing $22.71 per month. Over 24 months, this brings the total cost of the iPhone 5s to $648 and the 5c to $549.84. Customers missing the $0 down offer can still save on Cyber Monday, when prices revert to $50 down for the iPhone 5s and $10 for the 5c.
Black Friday deals are here. Apple is offering free gift cards with the purchase of hardware and accessories from retail locations and the Apple Store online. Several iPad models are included in the deals, as well as iMacs, MacBooks and iPods. Unlike previous Black Fridays, Apple has not discounted prices.
Instead, gift cards range from $150 to $25 depending on the item, and can be redeemed at the Apple Store or online. This ongoing Black Friday special is available at North American retail locations until midnight. Other discounts on Apple products can be found at third-party retailers, such as Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.
As expected, Apple will offer discounts on many of its most popular products on this Black Friday, November 29. The company has already posted a landing page for this year's sale on its Australian website. Deals can be had in Apple retail stores, online, and using the Apple Store iOS app.
Sale prices will take effect starting after midnight on Friday morning and ending at 11:59 PM. Look for promotional pages to pop up soon in other countries, including the US. The standard disclaimers apply, such as the fact that promotional pricing cannot be combined with other offers. If you're shopping in retail stores, the sale prices are only good while the items are in stock.
