Developers Show Off Tons of Exciting New iPhone Apps at the WWDC

Apple and some of their featured developers spent a good deal of time showing off some of the new and exiting native applications coming with the official release of the iPhone 2.0 software/firmware. Developers included SEGA, TypePad, eBay, and Loopt - who showed off their very cool social networking application with location based services. Apple Online Store Down Pending Expected iPhone 2 Release

Within the last couple of hours, Apple has taken down their online retail store. This is standard practice for Apple when they are adding new products and services to the online store. This serves as further indication that the iPhone 2 may be released at this years WWDC, which kicks off in less than an hour at 10:00 am PDT / 1:00 pm EDT.

New Glimpses of the iControlPad Gaming Accessory

Last week we told you about a new accessory coming for the iPhone that may very well change the face of gaming on the iPhone. Though we were able to provide a good amount of information about the iControlPad, what we weren't able to do at the time was get a good look at it. The only images available of the device at the time the original article about the iControlPad was written was a very small picture of a prototype unit that had been developed.

Yesterday, the iControlPad folks posted some new renderings of the iControlPad shown from two slightly different angles. If the actual iControlPad looks as good as the renders, iPhone gamers have something to get excited about. Have a look:

SpoofApp: Fake Your Caller ID and Voice on the iPhone

Though it would have been better if SpoofApp had been around for April Fools' Day, there's still plenty of uses we can think of to fake (or "spoof") your caller ID. Yes, most of these are for reasons involving practical jokes. Not all, though, there are definitely legitimate uses for spoofing your caller ID -- everything ranging from conducting business from the road to checking in on your kids. So, when one of our readers wrote in about SpoofApp, we thought we'd spread the word.
