There are two applications that can be installed from the Apple App Store that provide the functionality of iOS 5 Camera and Photo app improvements and more.

Not only will Camera+ take better photos than the stock Camera app, it adds features that are not even included in iOS 5. Open the app and you'll see grid lines that help compose the shot and a simple zoom slider on the right.

Apple has announced improvements and better functionality in the iOS 5 version of Safari mobile web browser. Did you know you can have all of these features and more without even jailbreaking your iPhone? Two apps get rave reviews and already incorporate the changes coming to iOS 5 later this fall and more. We'll start with the one of the best replacements for Safari, the Atomic Web Browser.

This app is only $0.99 in the Apple App Store, but it packs a punch when it comes to web browsing features you're used to seeing on the desktop. Tabbed browsing is only the beginning. Atomic has a private browsing mode, colored themes, custom gestures and full screen browsing to start.

It can be a real drag when you want to organize some photos on your iPhone or iPad and you realize this has to be done on your computer. After making the new photo albums and organizing the photos then you have to sync to your iOS device. Once on your iPhone the photos in albums can't be moved or edited at all.

Luckily Apple got wind of the situation and plans to add this functionality to the next version of its mobile operating system firmware, iOS 5. This doesn't come out until the fall, but for those with jailbroken iPhones the feature can be installed right away. The tweak is called PhotoAlbum+ and it's available on Cydia for $4.99.

One of the cool things that iOS 5 will offer when Apple releases the new mobile operating system is the capability to create custom shortcuts that can be used when entering text. Of course you can have this feature right now if you jailbreak your iPhone and install the utility called Xpandr using the Cydia app store.

Xpandr costs $1.99 and can be found in Cydia under Sections -> Utilities or by using the Search function. Payment is simple and uses either PayPal or Amazon Payments directly in the Cydia app store. Once installed, Xpandr can be configured by tapping its icon on the home screen.

New iPhone 5 Pictures Leaked Again?

As we get closer to a possible next-generation iPhone announcement, more and more pictures off the "N94" iPhone prototype are being leaked. The N94 was originally believed to be the iPhone 4S or possibly the rumored 8GB iPhone Reuters mentioned last week. Engadget posted some new pictures of the mysterious device on Monday.
