When it comes to smartphone photos taken and posted on popular sharing site Flickr, Apple just surpassed itself again. The iPhone 4S has flown up the ranks to beat the iPhone 3G as the second most popular device to snap photos with on Flickr. This kicks the iPhone 3GS down to third and the Android HTC EVO 4G into fourth place.

The reigning champion of mobile phone image uploads? The iPhone 4 retains its lead in the segment, blowing away the competition. In fact, when it comes to overall camera statistics on Flickr the iPhone 4 also comes in first place, ahead of several digital SLR models. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Nikon D90 follow in second and third place respectively, with the Canon EOS Rebel T2i and Canon EOS 7D following behind.

Users complaints about iPhone 4S SIM card error messages that read "Invalid SIM" and "SIM Failure" have been piling up on the Apple Support forums since the device went on sale in October. The glitch prevents users from using their phones when the SIM card is in the slot.

According to ZDNet this is not a new problem. The Sim card error message is from a design flaw that has affected the iPhone 4 in the past. Sometimes the SIM card causes a short circuit when it makes contact with the tray eject mechanism. The short circuit causes the error making the SIM card unable to connect with the wireless provider. This prevents users from performing the most basic functions like texting or placing phone calls.

The fact that Siri is limited to the iPhone 4S is a huge limitation for some users who would like to use the technology for other applications. Desktop computer software designed for voice dictation of text with similar accuracy to Siri can be expensive. Luckily, there's a method to use all of the power of Siri on your iPhone 4S to dictate words to any text field on your Mac, Windows or Linux computer.

Unlocking the iPhone has always required jailbreaking and paying close attention to custom firmware and basebands. Now thanks to a simple process, the iPhone 4S can be unlocked without jailbreaking. This process makes use of a bug in iOS 5 and allows the iPhone to be used on T-Mobile. Of course, there are some caveats.

As OS X Daily reports, some users have had to go through the process several times to make it work. This process requires an AT&T (GSM) iPhone 4S, and will not work with the Verizon or Sprint iPhone. Also, the T-Mobile SIM card must be cut down to Micro SIM size before the process begins in order to fit in the iPhone 4S.
