SpoofApp: Fake Your Caller ID and Voice on the iPhone

Though it would have been better if SpoofApp had been around for April Fools' Day, there's still plenty of uses we can think of to fake (or "spoof") your caller ID. Yes, most of these are for reasons involving practical jokes. Not all, though, there are definitely legitimate uses for spoofing your caller ID -- everything ranging from conducting business from the road to checking in on your kids. So, when one of our readers wrote in about SpoofApp, we thought we'd spread the word.

Real Control Pad Brings Real Gaming to the iPhone

While we've all gotten a kick out of the NES, Genesis, and GBA emulators for the Apple iPhone, truth be told there's not all that much real gaming going on. It would be hard to argue that using the touchscreen joypad offers ample control. This has left truly entertaining gaming to games more natively designed for a touch screen system. Until now. Though not available yet, iControlPad is cooming soon with its eyes set on changing the face of gaming on the iPhone.

In mid March, AT&T held a short two-day sale on 8GB refurbished iPhones at a low price of $249, hoping to attract new customers with the luster of an affordable iPhone. It worked swimmingly, with the available phones selling out in under 24 hours. By day two, bargain iPhone hopefuls were greeted by an offer for the full price, factory fresh iPhone instead of the reduced price refurbs.

Well, a couple months later, AT&T is back at it again. While stock is available during the next two days, AT&T will be selling the 8GB iPhone for the same price as in March - $249. AT&T is also selling the 16GB iPhone in refurbished fashion for $349. Both are significant reductions from the everyday price of the iPhone, and are also $100 cheaper than

3G iPhone Launch Coming on iPhone's First Birthday?

Those of you that were avidly following the rumor lead up to the launch of the current version of Apple's iPhone probably remember that one of the major "tells" in regard to the then-coming launch of the iPhone was a leaked memo from AT&T which instructed AT&T retail sales employees that they were restricted from taking vacation during the period between June 15th and July 15th of 2007. As it turned out, release day for the original iPhone turned out to be smack in the middle of that period.
