How to Fix iBooks Error After iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak

UPDATE: iPhone developer pod2g blogged that an upcoming Corona update will fix "iBooks and other softwares having sandbox issues." We will let you know when it's released.

When jailbreaking iOS there are sometimes caveats and unintended consequences, although normally for enthusiasts the advantages of running new software take precedence. iBooks fans might have found that after liberating their device with the latest redsn0w untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak that iBooks ceases to work.

Thank you it worked!

This worked like a charm for me, oddly without even having to remove the ibooks first.

I just followed all the instructions, the software must have been updated or something, because it quite simply just worked.

Worked fine for my iPhone 4 5.1.1, recently jailbroekn with redsn0w (tethered). After installing the iBooksFix2, iBooks did open and close immediately without any error messages, but it worked great after I rebooted the iPhone.

I downloaded ibooks BUT the process known "download books and an icon appears on th home screen click it then click "open in ibooks" then open ibooks and books will be there.." IS NOT WORKIN FOR ME! I have IOS 5.0.1 ipod touch 4g ! No 'icon appears' that i can click onto after installing the any book!?? What do i do?!

Excuse me, You talk about Iphone, but does it also works for the Ipad ?
