iPhone 5

Can I use the Sprint / Verizon iPhone 5 (A1429) on T-Mobile's network?

Actually, the answer is yes. The Verizon iPhone 5 has been confirmed to be unlocked and compatible with GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile. The only drawback is speed. LTE compatibility is limited on the A1429 iPhone 5 to frequencies compatible with Verizon and Sprint only. Using data on the AT&T or T-Mobile networks with the Verizon iPhone 5 is possible, but will result in slower download speeds.

Can I use the Sprint / Verizon iPhone 5 (A1429) on AT&T's GSM network?

Yes. The Verizon iPhone 5 has been tested with an AT&T nano-SIM card and the device is unlocked. This means you can actually use your Verizon / Sprint iPhone 5 on the AT&T network at HSPA+ (4G) speeds. The device will not operate on AT&T's LTE network due to differences between LTE frequencies on Verizon's and AT&T's networks.

This is also good news for travelers, who can grab a pre-paid nano-SIM card off the shelf to use their Verizon iPhone 5 on any compatible GSM carrier around the world.

First Picture of a Jailbroken iPhone 5 Running Cydia

The well known jailbreak developer Chpwn (aka Grant Paul) tweeted a screenshot of Cydia running on an iPhone 5 the same day the device was released. While this is exciting news, it does not mean an untethered iOS 6 jailbreak is right around the corner. It took the jailbreaking community a couple of months to publicly release Absinthe 2.0, even though three different jailbreaks were reported to be working on the new iPad before its release.

This hopefully means the jailbreaking community is also on the road to jailbreakng other iDevices running iOS 6.

For one, that's a new charger that has been redesigned to deliver more power to the iPhone while charging via the Lightning cable. The Lightning to USB cable is packaged along with Apple's completely revamped EarPods with remote. iPhone 5 owners will get the same EarPod carrying case that comes when they are purchased separately.
