New iOS Apps, Games and JB Tweaks of the Week: Beats Music and More...

Here's a quick look at some of the noteworthy apps, games and jailbreak tweaks released to the Apple App Store and Cydia this week (01/19/14 to 01/25/14). Apple's Free Game of the Week is Where's My Mickey. It will be free on the App Store until 01/30/14.

Beats Music

Beats Music: Free to download, requires $10 monthly membership (Requires iOS 6 or later) Rated 12+

Beats' new music streaming service for iOS, Android and Window devices is for music lovers who don't mind paying $10 a month instead of listening to ads. Beats Music biggest selling point is its recommendation engine comprised of real people, and its fill in the "Sentence" feature that allows users to get suggestions based on what they're doing and who they're with. The Sentence has already spun a meme where users share their most ridiculous answers to the fill in the blank option: "I'm ___ & feel like ___ with ___ to ___".

Free Apps of the Week: Where's My Mickey and Carmageddon

Both Where's My Mickey and Carmageddon are currently free on the App Store for a limited time.

Where's My Mickey

Where's My Mickey is a lot like Where's My Water. It is a physics-based game where you must help Mickey Mouse complete puzzles by using wind, clouds and rain. The game includes 5 episodes starring popular Disney characters, 6 bonus Goofy puzzles, plus more. It supports all iOS devices running iOS 5 or later and it is rated 9+. The app will be free until Thursday as part of Apple's Free App of the Week promotion.

Jailbreak Tweak of the Week: Controllers for All

Instead of our normal App of the Week, I would like to highlight the jailbreak tweak Controllers for All. This is one of the most innovative iOS 7 tweaks released to Cydia since evasi0n7 was released. It is also in the running to be one of the best jailbreak tools of the year.

Controllers for All

Currently the cheapest iOS 7 controller on the market is the SteelSeries Stratus Wireless for $79.99. Most of the other MFi (Made for iOS) controllers on the market, like the Logitech PowerShell, are retailing for around $100. That's a lot of money for an accessory to play a $3 game. This is why Controllers for All is one of the most useful tweaks out there. It allows anyone with a jailbroken device to add iOS 7 support to an old PlayStation 3 controller.

Apple to Discontinue iPhone 5c, Release Two Large Display iPhones Later this Year

According to The Wall Street Journal, anonymous sources have indicated that Apple plans to discontinue production of the iPhone 5c and launch two new iPhones with larger displays sometime in late 2014.

Apple to discontinue iPhone 5c

There has been much talk about the iPhone 5c sales coming in well below Apple's expectations. This cannot be confirmed however, as Apple does not disclose sales based on iPhone model. Analysts point towards ineffective pricing strategy - the colorful, plastic-backed 5c starts at $100 with a two year contract ($550 without
