iOS 7 Brings Head Gesture Support to iPhone and iPad

An anonymous tipster (via 9to5Mac) has discovered the ability to control your iPhone or iPad with left or right head movements. The new feature was discovered in the Accessibility section of iOS 7. Users can now turn on a control switch that allows them to navigate their device by tilting their head left or right. The feature can also be used to act as a home button, start Siri, or open Notification Center. The new Control Switch could help people with disabilities navigate iOS devices more easily. You can see a video demonstration here.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a similar feature called Smart Scroll and Smart Pause. Smart Scroll allows users to scroll up or down on a webpage or email by either tilting their head or the device. Smart Pause stops video when a person looks away from their display, and restarts it when they look back.

Popular PC Game Home: A Unique Horror Adventure Now Available for the iPhone and iPad

The popular PC game Home: A Unique Horror Adventure has landed in the Apple App Store. Home is an 8-bit horror mystery where your decisions shape the narrative and outcome of the game. The gameplay is a lot like an interactive choose-your-own-adventure with simplistic tap controls, but don't let the minimalist style turn you off. Home's unique experience and replay value has earned it high praise from the gaming community. At the end of the game users are encouraged to share their interpretation of the events on the What Happened! forums. However, you shouldn't visit the page until you at least completed the game once, or you will spoil the experience for yourself.

You may want to shop around, or wait until this fall before locking yourself into any new two-year contracts.

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time Release Date Delayed

Electronic Arts has decided "it's not about time" to release Plants vs. Zombies 2. PopCap originally announced that the sequel entitled Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time would be released on July 18, but EA announced today that it will be available "later in the summer". EA did not give a reason for the delay. Here is the tweet from the official PvsZ Twitter account.

"Plants vs. Zombies 2, originally slated for a July 18th release, will now be released later in the summer. Stay tuned for more details."

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time

Maybe EA is pulling a Microsoft-like 180, after fans criticized their decision to only release the game for iOS devices. However, the official PvsZ YouTube page still reads: "Plants vs. Zombies will be released summer 2013, exclusively for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store." Some fans were also not happy about the game being a freemium release. This means the game will be free to download, but will most likely require in-app purchases to make it more enjoyable to play.
