Box Acquires Mobile App Folders For the Next-Generation of Their iOS Client

Box, a company that creates cloud sharing software and hosting for businesses and individuals, has just acquired a mobile app called Folders. Folders was created by the French developer Martin Destagnol, who has been working closely with Box to fine-tune the integration between Box and the Folders technology. The Folders design and code are becoming a part of Box for the next-generation of the Box iOS client.

EA Releases Free Tetris Blitz App for the iPhone and iPad

Electronic Arts' mobile division has released Tetris Blitz to the U.S. App Store. Blitz offers a new twist on the classic puzzle game. Players must race against the clock to score as many points as possible before time runs out. The game features easy one-touch and swipe controls, plenty of fun and interesting power-ups, and hours of replay value.

I originally thought Tetris Blitz was just another flashy, button mashing time killer, but it can be an addictive strategy game. Especially if you attempt to climb the leaderboards, which reset every week. The game's multiple power-ups, finishers, and Frenzy mode make it a fun mobile app that new and old Tetris fans will love.

AT&T to Charge New Mobility Administrative Fee

A new fee has already been applied to AT&T wireless customers starting at the beginning of this month. Contract subscribers will see an increase of $0.61 per month, per line for a Mobility Administrative Fee. According to The Verge, AT&T told them the fee will "help cover certain expenses, such as interconnection and cell site rents and maintenance."

For those who don't feel like doing the math, this amounts to a total of $7.32 per year for the new fee. In a household with four AT&T cellular phones, the total additional cost for four lines amounts to $29.28 per year. While this may not sound like much for the average iPhone customer, AT&T stands to gain close to half a billion dollars from the charges.

How to Setup Metro-Like Tiles on the iPhone

When it comes to different themes on the iPhone the sky is the limit. All you need is a jailbroken device and a willingness to install WinterBoard. Although some say the tweak saps their battery life, there are a variety of high-quality themes available, all of which can be removed if they cause a problem. LS Squares is an interesting theme that modifies the iOS lock screen with a look similar to Windows Metro tiles.

The theme works particularly well with some other tweaks to help refine the appearance. First of all, LS Squares requires some more advanced setup to select which city's weather is displayed, the language and default units for temperature. When downloaded from Cydia, LS Squares is set to display weather information from Los Angeles. Changing this requires editing a text file on your iPhone.

lubbaa, A New iPhone App That Lets You Track The Biorhythms Of Your Mate

I've been single for two years and every sloppy attempt I've made to change this sad fact has been just that: sloppy. Maybe what's been missing all along is these biorhythms lubbaa is telling me about, and if I started every conversation I had with appealing men at bars with, "What's your birth date? Give me a second," instead of "Hey papi, want a taste?" I'd be getting somewhere.

Lubbaa Dating App

The intriguing logo of lubbaa, a chubby, curvy lowercase "a" punctuated by a speckled heart, is quickly belied by the app's look once it is opened. Some sort of natural fall theme in browns and yellows composed of stock photos of nature decorate lubbaa's innards. It could be made to look alright if not for the goofy font, possibly chosen to mimic a relaxed handwriting. Maybe it's supposed to be like the journal of a 14 year-old girl going through a Wiccan phase; she's calculating the biorhythms of all the cute boys in her high school to see if they might be fit to be brought home to daddy. "But, Daddy!" she'll cry, as he stares disdainfully at Trent's arm sleeve of tattoos and lip piercing. "Our sensitivity and emotional biorhythms sync perfectly!"
