In a report we filed yesterday, entitled Apple iPhone June 29th 6pm Release Seeming More Legit we remarked on how unimaginable it would be for AT&T stores to spend the day allowing their locations to fill up with frenzied iPhone fans as the 6pm sale time neared.
It has been widely reported, based on Steve Jobs' comment at the 2007 WWDC, that the Apple iPhone will go on sale on Apple's Online Store at 6pm. However, due to the lack of timezone information and a "questionable tone" in Jobs' delivery, speculation ensued as to whether or not the six o'clock time was more of a joke than a reality.
As an extension of it's 'Green my Apple' campaign, Greenpeace today issued a challenge to Apple to keep the highly anticipated Apple iPhone as environmentally friendly as it can. In reality, the challenge is directed more towards consumers than Apple itself.
