In addition to the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple launched an extreme sports version of its wearable called the Apple Watch Ultra. This watch has been engineered and certified to operate in some of the most extreme environments on the planet, while providing the wearer with essential information and connectivity.

Apple shows off the iPhone 14 lineup

Apple revealed the iPhone 14 series with four different models in two screen sizes. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max join the iPhone family later this month. iPhone 12 no sound issues service program extended

Apple has extended its ongoing iPhone 12 service program to address no sound issues. A small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models may experience a receiver module failure, leading to sound not working during phone calls. These "no sound" issues have been covered under a special Apple service program since it first launched in summer 2021.

Apple launches National Parks activity challenge

Apple caps off its week celebrating America's National Parks by launching this year's limited edition Activity Challenge award. Apple Watch users can earn the award on Saturday, August 27 after completing a walk, run, hike, or wheelchair workout for a distance of a mile or longer. Recipients of the award also get animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app.

'Far out' iPhone 14 event confirmed at Steve Jobs theater

Apple will hold its first in-person media event since 2019 to reveal the iPhone 14. Invites have gone out for the keynote on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 taking place in the Steve Jobs theater. Attendees will gather at Apple Park in Cupertino, California ahead of the 10:00 am PT (1:00 pm ET) start time. This fall's event features a starry-looking Apple logo and is titled "Far out."
