Now that Apple's latest iPhones have launched, pricing and availability of earlier models has changed. Three devices are no longer offered on the Apple website or in retail stores. The iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone XR are officially discontinued. Anyone seeking these models must purchase them refurbished, used, or new from a third-party supplier.
This puts the complete 2021 iPhone lineup as follows:

iPhone speaker suddenly not working? A small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models may experience a receiver module failure, leading to sound not working during phone calls. These "no sound" issues are covered under a special service program launched by Apple this summer. iPhone Pro Max and iPhone mini models are not affected by the problem.

Apple now offers its official MagSafe Battery Pack for the iPhone 12. The accessory clicks onto the magnetic back of the iPhone and provides extra power, much like the earlier Smart Battery Case. When connected, the MagSafe battery delivers information via the iOS Battery widget.

Apple has announced a date for its highly anticipated October event, the second special Apple Event this fall. The fireworks begin on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 AM Pacific (1 PM Eastern) and is titled "Hi, Speed." With new iPads and the Apple Watch Series 6 already on the books, the event next week is expected to be all about the upcoming iPhone 12 models.

Apple looks to have a busy fall release schedule if the latest reports from around the Asian supply chain are true. Leaks point to a delay in the normal September launch of next generation iPhones, with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro shipping in October instead. The global pandemic continues to affect supply chains and has postponed Apple's fall plans. However, the company is still expected to have its annual keynote event in early September to reveal new products.
