Adult Swim updated Pockey Mortys to version 1.1 on February 3. The update added 19 new Mortys for players to collect and it included a fix for the Mascot Morty bug. This was only a minor update. Hopefully Adult Swim is working on a major update with a new adventure, side quests and things to craft. The Pocket Mortys Twitter is aslo holding a poll to name the first female Morty in the game.
New Apps of the Week
The latest Five Nights at Freddy's title, FNaF World, was pulled from Steam due to negative reviews. Developer Scott Cawthon said he was unhappy with the type of "reviews and ratings" the game was receiving. Cawthon decided to pull the title, offer full refunds and release the current version of the game to GameJolt for free. Cawthon said he plans to improve the game and release a new version with a full 3D overworld in the future. He did not mention if he still plans to release FNaF World to iOS. You can read Cawthon's post about his decision to pull the game on the Steam forums.
There's going to be a slight change to our weekly App Store Recap going forward. Gotta catch 'em all. Mortys that is. Adult Swim's new RPG Pocket Mortys has topped the Apple App Store charts, and rightfully so. It is a addicting and clever Pokémon parody based on the hit cartoon Rick and Morty (Read our review). It is also one of the best games released so far in 2016. The goal of the game is to catch as many Mortys as possible while exploring the multiverse. We have also created a Pocket Mortys section in our FAQ. It includes a full crafting recipe guide, tips for playing the game, lists of charcaters and so on.
Pocket Mortys is available for free on the App Store. It requires iOS 8.0 and later and it supports older devices like the iPhone 4s.
