Only one quick note before we get to this week's new releases, the award winning photo editing app, Pixelmator, is now available for the iPhone. The app has also been updated with a ton of new features, improvements and bug fixes, and the update is free for previous owners.

SEGA pulled several of its titles from the App Store on Wednesday. Most of the games were Genesis ports, like Streets Of Rage and Golden Axe, that did not transfer well to iOS. SEGA did note that "given the right situation, these titles may return in an updated form," but it is doubtful.

President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, revealed more about the company's mobile gaming plans during its financial results briefing on Friday. Iwata said that Nintendo will not port existing titles to smartphones. Instead the company plans to release "approximately" five new titles for mobile devices by the end of 2017. Iwata noted that the company's planned number of mobile titles is low because the aim is to "make each title a hit" and Nintendo wants to "thoroughly operate every one of them for a significant amount of time after their releases".

Bandai Namco released Galaga: Tekken to the Apple App Store on Thursday. The crossover game celebrates the 20th anniversary of the famed Tekken fighting franchise by merging it with the company's iconic arcade title Galaga. Instead of a fixed spacecraft players must use the classic Tekken fighters Lili, Claudio and Heihachi to blast an invasion of 8-bit enemies descending on them from space. The game also features other characters from popular Namco games such as Rick from Splatterhouse. Galaga: Tekken 20th Anniversary Ediition is now available on the for free.
